Powerhouse Racing represents over 50 years of combined racing expertise. The Powerhouse Racing Team is piloted by Champion Road Racer Terry Giles and the crew is headed up by long time Crew Chief Ben Brooks and Race Engineer Kevin Allen of Mallen-Alley Racing.

It is all about a “winning attitude” - on the track and off, Powerhouse Racing is dedicated to a winning attitude and to promoting motorsports in a positive and professional manner. Powerhouse Racing is a professional Championship Winning Road Racing Team with an impressive resume of racing experience spanning more than 5 decades. The entire team and crew are dedicated to promoting a professional image and to winning races. They conduct themselves in a professional manner and are ideal spokesmen for the sport and for corporate image. Terry Giles is an internationally renowned trainer and athlete and is known around the world as a world champion martial artist. He is also recognized as an accomplished championship road race driver. With over twenty five years of experience as a professional athlete, trainer, coach, company spokesman, published writer and motivator. Racing is just “one part” of what Powerhouse Racing delivers.

We are more than “just a race team” - we develop long term relationships with sponsors, marketing companies and other teams and drivers. We develop comprehensive physical training programs for drivers and crew as well as driver development programs. Powerhouse Racing also offers services in team building, motivational speaking and public appearances. In addition to the driver training, we also offer car set-up and team management consultation. It is our goal to pursue our passion of racing and build not only a championship racing team, but winning relationships that deliver results - on and off the track.

The Powerhouse Team won back-to-back Championships in the 2001 and 2002 racing seasons, winning both the Florida GT3 Championship and the prestigious South Atlantic Road Racing Championship Series title in the GT3 class. In the 2003 racing season, Terry and the Powerhouse Team made the move to the GT1 class running a Laughlin built ex-NASCAR Winston Cup Monte Carlo, running against some of the best drivers in the country. Throughout a year of learning curves, dialing in the new car and sorting out the details, Terry and the Powerhouse Team managed 4 victories in demanding fashion, quickly establishing themselves as a growing force to reckon with in the GT1 division. In the following 2004 season, the Powerhouse Team managed another 4 trips to victory lane and a position atop the podium in the winner’s circle. In 2005 the Powerhouse Team added a second GT1 car to their stable, in the form of a 2002 Corvette C5 built by LG Motorsports. They quickly adapted to this new ride scoring a big win at the end of the 2005 with a professional win at Homestead in the AGT Pro Series. This pro win was followed up with multiple GT1 wins in the 2006 season as well as a win at the prestigious SCCA SE Division Championship Invitational race known as the SIC (The SARRC Invitational Championship Finale). A great way to end the 2006 season. The team had an excellent 2007 season winning all races entered with the exception of one third place finish and they once again captured the prestigious SARRC GT1 Championship title by dominating the entire year. On September 21, 2008 – the team repeated with another dominating year once again capturing the GT-1 SARRC SE Division Championship, making them “back to back” GT1 Champions. In 2009 Terry drove the team to its third SE Divison Championship winning the SE Division GT-1 Championship and they placed 5th over-all in the 2009 National Points Championship with a strong 7th place finish at the National Championship Run-Offs in Elkhart Lake at the historic Road America.

The team now has its sights set on the 2010 SCCA National Run-Offs and winning the 2010 GT-1 National Championship at Road America in September, with ECR Engines under the hood. The team is proud to be the first team outside of NASCAR to be sponsored by ECR Engines and have already handed ECR their first ever win in sports car racing with their win at the 31st Annual Tom Nehl National at Roebling Road on March 8th, 2009.

Powerhouse Racing also offers other teams full marketing and team image services. These services include developing a marketing strategy and sponsorship packages as well as full creative and graphic support. From designing team logos, team marketing materials and presentations to designing and supplying full color graphics packages and custom embroidered team uniforms and clothing.
